How useful – to be able to look at details of anatomy and disease, without leaving the patients side, with no cost of ionising radiation for the patient or myself.
So I came to POCUS (Point of Care Ultrasound), via twitter and FOAMed (Free Online Medical Education). I have been working in Australia as a general practioner since 2009, having graduated from the Flinders University post-graduate medical program in 2004, worked around rural South Australia, Alice Springs and then after fellowship to Castlemaine Victoria. I now live in Melbourne Victoria Australia with work covering urban general practice and a reproductive health clinic.
